EFEITO DOS PROTOCOLOS DE REMOÇÃO DO NÚCLEO METÁLICO FUNDIDO NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DE TRINCAS NA DENTINA RADICULAR

Este estudo avaliou a ocorrência de defeitos na dentina radicular, com ênfase na formação de trincas, induzidos por diferentes técnicas de remoção de pinos fundidos. Foram utilizados 100 incisivos bovinos, preparados e divididos em grupos de acordo com a técnica empregada: vibração ultrassônica, brocas carbide e dispositivo de tração por mola. As raízes foram seccionadas a 4, 8 e 12 mm do ápice e analisadas em microscopia óptica (25×). Dos 300 cortes examinados, 103 (34,3%) apresentaram defeitos estruturais, sendo a maioria trincas parciais e linhas de tensão (91,2%). Todas as técnicas provocaram algum grau de alteração dentinária, mas sem diferença significativa entre si (p>0,05). Entretanto, o dispositivo de mola apresentou maior incidência de fraturas completas (p<0,05). Os defeitos foram mais frequentes nos terços cervical e médio.
