Abstract

DEALING WITH THE TOPIC OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICTS) IS, TODAY, A DEMAND IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD, HAVING SEEN THE NEED FOR CONSTANT AND RAPID IMPLEMENTATION OF MODES OF CONTENT ASSIMILATION. IN THE CONSTANT CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN TAKING PLACE IN THE WORLD AND ESPECIALLY IN THE EDUCATIONAL SCENARIO, A DAILY CHALLENGE IN TEACHING WITHIN THE CLASSROOM IS PERCEIVED, CAUSING THE EDUCATOR TO SEEK SUPPORT IN PEDAGOGICAL RESOURCES THAT BEST FIT THE TEACHING AND LEARNING CONTEXT. THE TEACHER'S ADAPTATION PROCESS TO THESE NEW TECHNOLOGIES IS THE SUBJECT OF THIS STUDY, WITH THE AIM OF ELUCIDATING THE DIFFICULTIES AND OBSTACLES ENCOUNTERED BY THESE PROFESSIONALS IN THE INSERTION OF ICTS IN THE CLASSROOM. THEREFORE, AN ANALYTICAL INVESTIGATION WAS CARRIED OUT, THROUGH A LITERATURE REVIEW, RELATED TO ICTS IN EDUCATION. THE RESULTS SHOW A CONVERGENCE OF INFORMATION REGARDING THE DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED BY TEACHERS IN RELATION TO WORKING WITH ICT'S. THESE BARRIERS RELATE TO COGNITIVE, EPISTEMOLOGICAL AND STRUCTURAL OBSTACLES. THUS, THIS STUDY ENDS, CORROBORATING WITH THE VARIOUS AUTHORS ON THE NEED FOR TRAINING FOR TEACHERS, WHO CAN DEVELOP NOT ONLY TECHNICAL SKILLS, BUT ALSO DEVELOP SKILLS RELATED TO THEIR BELIEFS, CONFIRMING THEIR IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF CRITICAL CITIZENS, PREPARED TO COHERENT JUDGMENTS.
