THE USE OF SOCRATIVE IN THE TEACHING OF PSYCHOLOGY: EXPERIENCE REPORT

Abstract

MODERN HIGHER EDUCATION INCREASINGLY INSERTS INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICT) IN ITS DAILY TEACHING/LEARNING PRACTICES. THIS ARTICLE PRESENTS A BRIEF EXPERIENCE REPORT ON PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF THE USE OF THE SOCRATIVE TEACHING PROGRAM, A CURRENT MODEL OF ICT. TECHNOLOGIES AS A TEACHING TOOL IS NOTHING NEW IN THE HISTORY OF TEACHING PSYCHOLOGY. HIGHER EDUCATION TEACHERS MUST LEARN AND DEVELOP SKILLS IN THE USE OF ICT IN THEIR TEACHING PRACTICES. THE USE OF SOCRATIVE WAS SEEN BY THE STUDENTS AS A POSITIVE INNOVATION IN THE PRACTICE OF TEACHING IN THE CLASSROOMS OF THE PSYCHOLOGY COURSE AT CENTRO UNIVERSITÁRIO DE ANÁPOLIS - UNIEVANG�LICA. THE EXPERIENCE REPORT WAS USED AS �€ŒFIRST STEPS�€ FOR MORE ADVANCED RESEARCH IN THE FUTURE ON THE USE OF ICTS IN THE CONTEXT OF COLLEGES FOR TRAINING PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF PSYCHOLOGY. IT IS UNDERSTOOD, EVEN IF ONLY IN A PRELIMINARY WAY, THAT THE USE OF THE SOCRATIVE PROGRAM AS A PEDAGOGICAL TOOL IS NECESSARY AND POSITIVE. HOWEVER, ICTS MUST BE RESEARCHED IN DETAIL AND CAREFULLY INSERTED IN THE CONTEXT OF TEACHING PSYCHOLOGY.
