Abstract
ABSTRACT: DENTAL INJURIES SUCH AS CORONARY FRACTURES OCCUR AT ANY STAGE OF LIFE AND THEIR TREATMENT DEPENDS ON EACH SPECIFIC CASE.  ONE OF THE TREATMENT ALTERNATIVES FOR CORONARY FRACTURE WITH PULP INVOLVEMENT, THE PRESENCE OF A CORONARY REMNANT IS PULPOTOMY, WHICH AIMS TO PRESERVE PULP VITALITY, PERFORMING THE REMOVAL OF THE CORONARY PULP, KEEPING THE ROOT PORTION VIABLE.  OBJECTIVE: TO REPORT THE FOLLOW-UP OF AN ORAL TRAUMA AND PULPOTOMY, AS THE TREATMENT OF CHOICE, AFTER A DENTAL TRAUMA.  CASE REPORT: 16-YEAR-OLD PATIENT WITH A FRACTURE IN TEETH 11 AND 21 AND PULP EXPOSURE IN TOOTH 11. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: THE EVALUATION OF THE COLOR CHANGE, ABSENCE OF PAINFUL SYMPTOMS AND RADIOGRAPHIC CHANGES, IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE AND SUCCESS IS CHARACTERIZED BY MONITORING  PERIODIC.  PULROTOMY CAN BE SEEN AS A SIMPLE, ACCESSIBLE, DEFINITIVE, SAFE PROCEDURE IN ANY AGE GROUP, AND AN EXCELLENT TREATMENT ALTERNATIVE, WHICH, WHEN PROPERLY INDICATED AND PERFORMED CORRECTLY, DEMONSTRATES A HIGH POTENTIAL FOR SUCCESS.
