CHRONIC PERIAPICAL ABSCESS IS A DISEASE OF MICROBIAL ORIGIN, WHERE IT IS USUALLY FOLLOWED BY THE APPEARANCE OF A FISTULA IN THE PATIENT'S MUCOVESTIBULAR AREA, WITH A PICTURE OF VERY CHARACTERISTIC SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS THAT FACILITATE ITS DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS. FROM THESE ASPECTS, ENDODONTICS PLAYS A FUNDAMENTAL ROLE IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT PROCESS. THUS, THE PRESENT STUDY AIMED TO PRESENT, THROUGH A CASE REPORT, A PROCEDURE FROM ITS DIAGNOSIS TO THE TREATMENT OF THE LESION. IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THE CORRECT DIAGNOSIS AND A STEP BY STEP OF THE WELL EXECUTED TREATMENT, LEAD TO THE SUCCESS OF THE TREATMENT.
