THE RESEARCH PRESENTED INCLUDES A STUDY OF NATIONAL CRIMINAL LAW AND CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, SPECIFICALLY COMPRISING A STUDY OF SEXUAL CRIMES AND THEIR POSSIBILITIES OF PUNISHMENT. THE RESEARCH AIMS TO ANALYZE THE APPLICATION OF CHEMICAL CASTRATION AND ITS CONTRIBUTIONS TO PENAL REFORM, PROPOSING ADJUSTMENTS AND CHANGES THAT CORROBORATE WITH THE STATE MACHINE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CRIMINAL POLICY. THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH IS: TO OBSERVE THE POSSIBILITY OF CREATING THE CHEMICAL CASTRATION PENALTY. THERE ARE ALSO THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF: COLLECTING DATA ON THE POSSIBILITIES OF CHEMICAL CASTRATION; RELATE HOW THESE SAID PENALTIES CAN BE BENEFICIAL; ASSESS THE FEASIBILITY OF SUCH PENALTIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW. THE PROBLEM PRESENTED IS DIRECTED TO CHEMICAL CASTRATION AND ITS APPLICATION IN OUR DEMOCRATIC RULE OF LAW. THE STUDY METHOD USED IS DIALECTICAL, THE RESEARCH IS BASIC AND NOT FOCUSED ON A SPECIFIC CASE, USING BIBLIOGRAPHIC AND DOCUMENTAL INSTRUMENTS TO SUPPORT THE RESEARCH PRESENTED. AT THE END OF THE STUDY, IT WAS FOUND THAT CHEMICAL CASTRATION IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE BASIC CONSTITUTIONAL PRINCIPLES OF THE BRAZILIAN REPUBLIC, AS WELL AS VIOLATING THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND GUARANTEES PROVIDED FOR IN THE FEDERAL CONSTITUTION OF 1988.
