EXPANSÃO DA UTILIZAÇÃO DE MATERIAIS EM LÍNGUA INGLESA NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: DESAFIOS, ESTRATÉGIAS E AVANÇOS

O relato de experiência aborda a expansão do uso de materiais em língua inglesa no ensino superior, com foco na implementação progressiva e nos desafios enfrentados por estudantes e docentes. A internacionalização da educação impulsiona o uso do inglês como meio de instrução (EMI), tornando essencial a adaptação das instituições acadêmicas. Este estudo descreve estratégias adotadas, como inserção gradual de textos acadêmicos, workshops linguísticos e atividades interativas para fortalecer a compreensão e o engajamento dos alunos. Resultados indicam que a resistência inicial foi superada com o tempo, resultando em maior confiança na leitura e interpretação de textos científicos em inglês. Além disso, a familiaridade com a língua ampliou o acesso a publicações internacionais e aumentou a autonomia dos estudantes na busca por referências acadêmicas. O projeto demonstrou impacto positivo na preparação dos alunos para o mercado de trabalho e para experiências acadêmicas internacionais, destacando a importância da capacitação contínua de docentes e da integração de tecnologias educacionais. O estudo sugere a expansão do EMI para outras áreas e a ampliação dos programas de suporte linguístico para consolidar a internacionalização do ensino superior no Brasil.
