OXIDIZABLE AND CARBON OF SOILS IN SUGARCANE CULTIVATION SYSTEMS

SUGARCANE (SACCHARUM SPP.) IS A CROP OF GREAT IMPORTANCE IN BRAZILIAN SCENARIO, ITS MANAGEMENT INFLUENCES DIRECTLY THE ATTRIBUTES OF THE SOIL, REGARDLESS OF THE CULTIVATION SYSTEM, WHETHER CONVENTIONAL OR ORGANIC. THE SYSTEM AS WELL AS CULTIVATION CAN CHANGE AS IN SOIL CARBON FRACTIONS, WHICH CAN BE EVALUATED AND MONITORED THROUGH THE ACCUMULATION OF CARBON OR ITS FRACTIONS CONTAINED IN ORGANIC MATTER, SINCE VARIOUS PHYSICAL, CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS AND PROCESSES OCCUR IN THE SOIL IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO ORGANIC MATTER. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS WORK WAS TO VERIFY THE TOTAL ORGANIC CARBON CONTENT (TOC), THE OXIDIZABLE FRACTIONS PRESENT IN THE SOILS MANAGED WITH DIFFERENT CROPPING SYSTEMS IN GOIANSIA, GOIS, BRAZIL. THE CONVENTIONAL AND ORGANIC SYSTEMS WAS EVALUATED WITH THE APPLICATION OF VINASSE IN THREE CUTTING AGES (2ND, 4TH AND 6TH CUTS). THE MANAGEMENT OF SUGARCANE CULTIVATION IN THE ORGANIC SYSTEM CONTRIBUTES TO THE INCREASE OF THE TOTAL ORGANIC CARBON CONTENT OF THE SOIL. THE USE OF STILAGE AND A PRACTICE THAT INCREASES ORGANIC CARBON IN SOILS UNDER SUGARCANE CULTIVATION. THE AGE OF THE CUT DOES NOT PRESENT LINEAR RELATION IN THE CONTENTS OF TOTAL CARBON AND OF THE FRACTIONS ANALYZED.
