Strengthening Women's Health: A Journey of Integration and Empowerment – Experience Report

Abstract

This experience report describes an educational initiative developed during Pink October 2024, carried out by nursing students at the Evangelical University Center of Goianésia (UniEGO), under the guidance of the current professor of women's health. The initiative focused on raising awareness about breast and cervical cancer, promoting self-care, prevention, and female empowerment. The activities were held at the companies Cia. Hering, Cotec, and the Social Assistance Center of Jalles Machado, using anatomical materials, slides, participatory dynamics, souvenir distribution, and raffles. The women's involvement was remarkable, with active participation, clarification of questions, and emotional sharing. The initiative reinforces the importance of humanized care and health education as transformative tools.
