EXISTE UMA GAMA ENORME DE DIFERENTES CLASSES DE SOLOS NO CERRADO BRASILEIRO, E A CLASSIFICA��O SE FAZ NECESS�RIO PARA MELHOR ESCOLHA DE PR�TICAS DE MANEJO MAIS ADAPTADAS. O OBJETIVO DESTE TRABALHO FOI CLASSIFICAR ARGISSOLO DE UMA TOPOSSEQU�NCIA DE UMA PARCELA DO ASSENTAMENTO VITÓRIA, NO MUNIC�PIO DE GOIAN�SIA (15�°27'41.5"S 49�°03'51.1"W). O SOLO FOI CLASSIFICADO COMO UM ARGISSOLO VERMELHO AMARELO COM AS SEGUINTES CARACTER�STICAS PEDOLÓGICAS NO PERFIL: HORIZONTE O SUPERFICIAL COMPOSTO DE GRAM�NEAS. HORIZONTE A COM 30 CM DE PROFUNDIDADE, COLORA��O 10YR5/2, ESTRUTURA GRANULAR, CONSIST�NCIA DURA E TRANSI��O GRADUAL PARA B. HORIZONTE B TEXTURAL COM 35 CM DE PROFUNDIDADE DE COLORA��O 5YR5/6, ESTRUTURA EM BLOCOS, CONSIST�NCIA DURA E TRANSI��O GRADUAL PARA HORIZONTE C.
