OS TRATAMENTOS T�RMICOS OBJETIVAM MELHORAR AS PROPRIEDADES MEC�NICAS DOS MATERIAIS, UTILIZANDO-SE O RESFRIAMENTO EM DETERMINADO TEMPO E TEMPERATURA PARA ATINGIR A MICROESTRUTURA DESEJADA. APLICANDO TRATAMENTO T�RMICO NA SOLDAGEM, ANALISOU-SE AS PROPRIEDADES MEC�NICAS DOS METAIS DE SOLDA, ATRAV�S DE ENSAIOS MEC�NICOS E METALOGR�FICOS EM AMOSTRAS RETIRADAS DO METAL SOLDADO E APÓS TRATAMENTO T�RMICO PÓSSOLDAGEM. AS AN�LISES MOSTRARAM QUE AS PROPRIEDADES MEC�NICAS DE METAIS DE SOLDA COM TRATAMENTO T�RMICO PÓS-SOLDAGEM OBTIVERAM RESULTADOS SUPERIORES AOS DE METAIS DE SOLDA SEM TRATAMENTO T�RMICO PÓS-SOLDAGEM. A METALOGRAFIA REALIZADA NAS AMOSTRAS POSSIBILITOU A IDENTIFICA��O DA MICROESTRUTURA DOS METAIS DE SOLDA E A EXPLICA��O COMPORTAMENTAL DAS PROPRIEDADES MEC�NICAS APÓS O TRATAMENTO T�RMICO.
