Abstract
AS TRANSFORMA��ES OCORRIDAS NO ESTADO DE GOI�S EM MEADOS DO SÉCULO PASSADO EM FUN��O DA EXPANS�O DA FRONTEIRA AGR�COLA TROUXERAM GRANDES DANOS AMBIENTAIS COMO A FRAGMENTA��O DE H�BITATS, EXTIN��O DA BIODIVERSIDADE, EROS�O DOS SOLOS, ASSOREAMENTO, POLUI��O, DEGRADA��O DE ECOSSISTEMAS, ENTRE OUTROS IMPACTOS (KLINK E MACHADO,2005; BARBALHO, ET AL, 2015; SILVA ET AL., 2013, ENTRE OUTROS)
POR FRONTEIRA AGR�COLA ENTENDE-SE A INCORPORA��O R�PIDA E INTENSIVA DE �REAS AO PROCESSO PRODUTIVO PARA ATENDER A DEMANDA POR ALIMENTOS E MAT�RIAS PRIMAS, FACE AO AUMENTO DA POPULA��O E A NECESSIDADE DE OBTER EXCEDENTES PARA EXPORTA��O (SAWYER, 1983; GOEDERT, 1989).
