Abstract
DOEN�AS PULMONARES CR�NICAS SÃO CARACTERIZADAS POR DISFUN��ES RESPIRATÓRIAS, AS QUAIS PODEM SENSIBILIZAR OS PULM�ES E OUTRAS ESTRUTURAS, INTERFERINDO SUBSTANCIALMENTE NA QUALIDADE DE VIDA DO INDIV�DUO COM ESSA PATOLOGIA (FERREIRA, BRITO, FERREIRA, 2010). A ADMINISTRA��O DE MEDICAMENTOS POR VIA INALATÓRIA � ESSENCIAL AO TRATAMENTO DESSES PACIENTES. OS DISPOSITIVOS INALATÓRIOS SÃO APARELHOS QUE VIABILIZAM O TRANSPORTE E OBTEN��O DE ELEVADAS CONCENTRA��ES DOS MEDICAMENTOS AOS PULM�ES, ELEVANDO OS EFEITOS TERAP�UTICOS E REDUZINDO OS EFEITOS ADVERSOS SIST�MICOS (HESS, 2005).
A UTILIZA��O INCORRETA DOS INALADORES PODE OCASIONAR O INSUCESSO TERAP�UTICO POR REDUZIR A CONCENTRA��O DOS MEDICAMENTOS INALADOS NO LOCAL DE A��O, PODENDO INDUZIR A NÃO ADES�O AO TRATAMENTO E DIFICULTANDO O CONTROLE CL�NICO, AL�M DE AUMENTAR OS CUSTOS PARA O SISTEMA DE SAÚDE DEVIDO � RECORR�NCIA DE INTERNA��ES E AUMENTO DA MORTALIDADE (OLIVEIRA ET AL., 2014).
