Resumo

Anamnesis, derived from the Greek "anamnesis," meaning "to bring back," and "mnesis," which refers to "memories," has a significant influence and contributes to the formation of a robust diagnostic structure. To understand modern anamnesis, it is crucial to consider the philosophical knowledge that permeates society, such as linguistic pragmatism, which explores differences, attitudes, and thoughts with the ability to interact and connect. Anamnesis, the process of collecting detailed information about the patient's history and conditions, is a fundamental component in aesthetic clinical practice. With the increasing demand for personalized and safe aesthetic procedures, anamnesis has become crucial for identifying pre-existing conditions, patient expectations, and potential associated risks. The objective of this review is to analyze and synthesize data from the last five years on the importance of anamnesis in body aesthetic practice. A systematic search was carried out in scientific databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar, using keywords such as "aesthetic anamnesis," "patient history in aesthetics," and "importance of anamnesis in body aesthetics." Articles published between 2019 and 2024 were selected. The review identified that anamnesis is vital for the personalization of aesthetic treatments, ensuring that procedures are adapted to the individual needs and characteristics of patients. Recent studies have shown that a complete anamnesis can prevent complications, identify contraindications, and adjust expectations, resulting in better clinical outcomes and greater patient satisfaction. In addition, the anamnesis contributes to the early detection of medical conditions that may impact the safety of the procedure, such as dermatological problems or allergic reactions. Anamnesis plays a crucial role in body aesthetics, being fundamental for the personalization of treatments and risk prevention. Detailed information collection allows providers to tailor interventions to the specific needs of each patient, promoting safety and efficacy. The reviewed literature confirms that proper anamnesis practice is associated with higher patient satisfaction and better clinical outcomes. Therefore, it is essential for aesthetic professionals to incorporate anamnesis as a central component of their practice to optimize the care and results offered.
