Neurogenic bladder is bladder and sphincter dysfunction caused by neurological damage. Treatment is extremely important for improving quality of life, aiming to prevent urinary infections, restore kidney functionality, and complete flow and filling of the bladder. The present study aims to describe the interaction of ninth-year nursing students with a patient with neurogenic bladder in the supervised internship. To this end, a descriptive and exploratory study was carried out based on an experience report, where ninth-year undergraduate Nursing students changed the urethral catheterization probe and interacted with the patient with a neurogenic bladder. Nursing in terms of rehabilitation requires practical and scientific skills, where humanized and comprehensive care must be guaranteed, valuing psychological, physical and social well-being. It is understood that nurses play a key role not only in the technical execution of procedures, but also in holistic support for patients with urinary incontinence and neurogenic bladder, promoting a comprehensive and humanized approach to healthcare.
