About the Journal

Focus and Scope:

Revista em Saúde is the scientific journal for the health-related programs at the Centro Universitário Evangélico de Goianésia (UNIEGO), which currently encompasses the Nursing, Dentistry, and Psychology programs. Published semiannually and subject to blind peer review, the journal aims to disseminate technical and scientific work that contributes to the development of health fields. It publishes original, previously unpublished works—including scientific research, case reports, and experience reports—and welcomes contributions from researchers at educational, research, and extension institutions in Brazil and abroad. Its mission is to publish high-quality scientific-technical articles and technical notes that are original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal, covering novel research and new technologies of interest to the health sector.

Publication Frequency: Semiannual

Peer Review Process:

The Editorial Board conducts a preliminary analysis of submissions before sending them for scientific review. This analysis considers various aspects, such as scope, adherence to the journal's formatting guidelines, clear objective formulation, writing clarity, theoretical grounding, currency of the literature review, methodological coherence and precision, significant research contributions, discussion of observed facts in relation to existing literature, quality of tables and figures, and the originality and consistency of conclusions. If the number of approved submissions exceeds the journal's publication capacity, a criterion of relative relevance is applied. This criterion prioritizes works deemed to make the most significant contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge. It applies to submissions that meet the journal's quality standards but cannot all be accepted due to volume constraints. Rejected submissions are returned to the authors, while the others are submitted to scientific reviewers—experts in the article's specific technical field. Manuscripts accepted for publication undergo review by at least two specialists. Frequency:
