Abstract

The research entitled “The Impacts of Artificial Intelligence on Redefining Labor Relations in Brazil” addresses the positive and negative repercussions of using this system in production processes within the current labor landscape. It is justified by the need to examine and gain a deeper theoretical understanding of the increasing integration of technologies into the workplace. The central problem is to answer: how can artificial intelligence impact the security and stability of labor relations, and what measures can be adopted to balance automation and the preservation of decent jobs, avoiding the precariousness of work? The overall objective is to ensure that AI can affect the security and stability of these relations in the absence of regulation in the country. The specific objectives aim to analyze the restructuring of labor relations and the potential socioeconomic impacts of the progressive use of AI, identify the possibilities of (lack of) protection of fundamental workers' rights, and discuss the process of adaptation and flexibility of both employee and employer in the face of new labor transformations. The research methodology employed was a bibliographic review, with a qualitative and descriptive approach using the hypothetical-deductive method, starting from the hypothesis that the absence of specific regulations on AI may exacerbate the precariousness of labor relations. It is concluded that the regulation of Article 7, item XXVII, of the 1988 Federal Constitution is essential, aligning robust legislation with public policies for professional training and retraining, to protect and reduce the impacts of automation on vulnerable workers.
