Abstract

WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF EVALUATING SEED FIELD GERMINATION AT EMERGENCE, IN THE VEGETATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF SOYBEAN PLANTS, THE EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTED DURING THE 2016 AGRICULTURAL YEAR, IN SILVNIA, GO. SOYBEAN SEED LOTS OF THE M7739 I PRO AND M7110 I PRO CULTIVARS WITH MARKETABLE STANDARDS WERE USED. FOR THE SOWING OF LOTS IN THE FIELD, THE AMOUNT OF SEEDS FOR CORRECTION WAS CALCULATED WITH THE GERMINATION DATA, AIMING TO OBTAIN A POPULATION OF PLANTS PER HECTARE, WITH A SPACING OF 10 CM BETWEEN ROWS. THE EVALUATED CHARACTERISTICS, IN THE FIELD, WERE THE EMERGENCE SPEED INDEX, THE TOTAL EMERGENCE. THE PLANTS THAT MANAGED TO FORM FROM BATCHES WERE VIGOROUS AND, UNDER FAVORABLE CLIMATE AND MANAGEMENT CONDITIONS, DUE TO THE GREATER SPACE PER PLANT, PRODUCED MORE PODS PER PLANT, RESULTING IN GREATER PRODUCTION PER PLANT AND THIS LED THEM TO MATCH IN PRODUCTIVITY TO THOSE OF THE OTHER VIGOR LEVELS.
