THE WORK WAS CARRIED OUT AT THE UEMG, AT THE ITUIUTABA UNIT, WHICH STARTED IN SEPTEMBER AND WAS EVALUATED IN OCTOBER 2018. THE PRODUCTION OF PAPAYA PAPAYA WAS EVALUATED WITH DIFFERENT HYDROGEL DOSAGES. THE TREATMENTS CONSIST OF DIFFERENT DOSAGES; T1 - CONTROL; T2 - 4G; T3 - 6G; T4-8G AND T5-10G. THE EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN WAS COMPLETELY RANDOMIZED (DIC) WITH FOUR REPLICATIONS, TEN PLANTS PER EXPERIMENTAL PLOT. THE RESULTS EVALUATED WERE LEAF NUMBER, STEM DIAMETER, SHOOT HEIGHT, ROOT LENGTH, SHOOT FRESH MATTER, ROOT FRESH MATTER, SHOOT DRY MATTER AND ROOT DRY MATTER. THE DATA WERE SUBMITTED TO ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE (TEST F) AND THE MEANS OF THE TREATMENTS WERE COMPARED BY THE TUKEY TEST AT 5% OF PROBABILITY. IN THE PRODUCTION OF PAPAYA PAPAYA SEEDLINGS THE USE OF THE 4.0 AND 6.0 G HYDROGEL DOSAGES GAVE THE BEST DEVELOPMENT OF THE SEEDLINGS IN THE ANALYZED VARIABLES.
