Abstract

THE AREAS OF PERMANENT PRESERVATION ARE COVERED BY VEGETATION, BEING IT NATIVE OR PROJECTED BY THE MAN THAT MUST BE UNTOUCHED BEFORE THE LAW. IT HAS THE FUNCTION OF PRESERVING THE ECOSYSTEM, ENSURING A STABILITY FOR HUMAN LIFE, FAUNA AND FLORA, ENSURING WATER RESOURCES, SOIL AND MAINTAINING BIODIVERSITY. BASED ON THE ABOVE, IT WAS AIMED TO DELIMIT THE PERMANENT PRESERVATION AREAS (PPAS) ALONG THE WATERCOURSES AND THE PATOS RIVER HEADWATERS, GO, AND TO IDENTIFY THE LAND USE CONFLICTS IN THESE PPAS, HAVING AS LEGAL REFERENCE THE LAW NO. 12,651, OF MAY 25, 2012 AND RESOLUTION N. 303 OF CONAMA OF MARCH 20, 2012. AS THE MAIN RESULTS WE IDENTIFIED THAT 43% OF THE AREAS ARE PRESERVED AND 57% ARE WITH ANTHROPIC USE. OF THIS TOTAL THE PASTURE AND AGRICULTURE CLASS ARE THE MOST PREDOMINANT WITHIN THE PERMANENT PRESERVATION AREAS.
