FAUNA DE RÉPTEIS DO CERRADO EM GOIÁS: ENDEMISMO, GRAU DE AMEAÇA E ESTRATÉGIAS DE CONSERVAÇÃO

A degradação do Cerrado pela expansão agrícola ameaça a biodiversidade, com muitas espécies de répteis classificadas em listas de extinção. A fragmentação de habitats torna o inventariamento da fauna em áreas remanescentes, como a Fazenda Betel, uma prioridade. Este estudo buscou inventariar a fauna de répteis da Fazenda Betel para subsidiar ações de conservação. Foram utilizados dados secundários do SiBBr, com consulta à IUCN e ao ICMBio. Foram identificadas 373 espécies de répteis no Cerrado, 145 em Goiás, com divergências entre as classificações de ameaça. Grande parte das espécies tem tendência populacional desconhecida e distribuição restrita, o que reforça a urgência de investigações de campo para subsidiar políticas de conservação eficazes.
