FLAVONÓIS, FLAVONAS E ISOFLAVONAS: EVIDÊNCIAS CLÍNICAS RECENTES SOBRE EFEITOS FARMACOLÓGICOS E TOXICIDADE

Flavonóis, flavonas e isoflavonas destacam-se pelo amplo espectro farmacológico, incluindo efeitos antioxidantes, anti-inflamatórios e antitumorais. Esta revisão analisou estudos recentes sobre suas aplicações e potenciais efeitos adversos. Flavonóis apresentam ação antioxidante, imunomoduladora e antiviral, com benefícios cardiovasculares e atividade antitumoral, embora possam causar eventos adversos leves. Flavonas exibem propriedades anti-inflamatórias, neuroprotetoras e antineoplásicas, com perfil de segurança favorável em modelos clínicos e pré-clínicos. Isoflavonas atuam como fitoestrógenos, auxiliando no manejo da menopausa e na saúde óssea, além de mostrarem efeito citotóxico contra células tumorais, ainda que com risco em neoplasias hormônio-dependentes. Essas subclasses apresentam potencial terapêutico relevante em doenças inflamatórias, metabólicas e oncológicas, mas demandam estudos clínicos mais robustos para confirmar eficácia e segurança.
